Estimating
The traditional
role of a lumberyard estimator has been to do a material “take-off” from
a blueprint and attach prices to the material list. Just as blueprints
have evolved into CAD drawings on plain paper, the role of an estimator
has changed.
At Johnson
Lumber Company an estimator still prepares a material list but fulfills
several other functions as well. The number of choices a prospective
homebuilder needs to make has greatly expanded over the last several
years. Our estimators provide information and experience to
narrow the field and focus on a building
solution. An estimator will stay with your project from start to
finish, scheduling orders and deliveries to match the pace of your
building project.
It may say
“estimator” on our business cards, but we are “building solutions
coordinators” when we work for you.
Delivery Service
Johnson Lumber prides itself on its customer service
and reliability. We do our best to get your order to
you correctly and in a timely manner.
In most cases delivery is free.

Normal range for a reasonable
sized order ($200) is 40 miles
(as the crow flies).
Range for larger projects;
such as garages,
pole buildings,
houses, etc., is greater.
Minimal delivery charges
apply if criteria are not met
and the fee is decided on a
case by case basis.
